FREE RAMP PLANS
Ok ok, you have come here to get some free
ramp plans. You want to know how to easily build a badass
skateboard ramp or bmx ramp according to a simple plan. Remember skateboard
ramp plans and BMX ramp plans are pretty much the same.
I remember the time we built our first ramp. Me and my friends had
basically no money, no materials, and no ramp plans. But we still tried
to build it. Basically it sucked. We went and grabbed whatever timber
we could to build what would be the worlds worst ramp. It had the worst
transitions, and fell apart within weeks. The only good thing that it
was good for was toasting marshmellows when we burned that stupid ramp
to the ground. Basically we needed some ramp plans.
But that's not all you need. Remember if you are going to build a ramp:
Have some money!
Timber costs a fair bit of cash. So do the tools. Even if you are hiring
them. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Plan and plan well. Sometimes
the free ramp plans aren't always the best and you
may have to buy some.
Find somewhere good to put it.
Remember the weather ruins ramps like you wouldn't believe. Try and
get somewhere indoors, and get somewhere that is undercover. If you
are going to build a big ass mofo, you need to put it somewhere and
realise that this is going to be forever. If you are building a small
launch ramp or quarter pipe then this isnt' so bad.
Be prepared.
Get everything in order before you even begin building. Make some new
friends if you need to because building a ramp is hard work!
Have a ramp plan!
As you would have seen from my first building experience, building
without ramp plans is a very stupid idea. The transitions were wrong,
the materials were wrong, and the dimensions were wrong. It translated
into a very unfun experience. A lot of work for not too much fun. Learn
from my stupid mistakes. It doesn't matter if it is for a skateboard
or BMX, it is just the same. Pretty much BMX ramp plans and skateboard
ramp plans are the same.
So you want a plan? Well we don't actually have any. Well we could
go and make our own ramp plans and get put them up here for you guys
to use. But see here's the thing. We are bone idle lazy.
So we are just going to point you in the right direction of some really
good free ramp plan (actually some you need to pay
for) resources on the net.
Yeah I think that is a better idea.
